Release Date: 13th Nov 2023

Botium 23.12 Features

  • BOT-3768: Namespace Permissions: Extended capabilities in the namespace feature
    • Namespace permissions now allow for different access levels for different users in the Botium platform. For example if there are two teams within a company, using a single Botium instance, you can now keep their records separate from each other using namespaces, namespace permissions and custom roles.

The new namespace permissions can be enabled and disabled from the global settings panel under the namespace permissions tab. Here the user can apply rules for read/write access to any namespace.

Botium 23.12 Updates

  • BOT-3907: Configurable Naming Conventions for Crawler
    • Crawler Test Case names are prefixed with a default syntax. Based on customer feedback we have updated these to make differentiating between them easier. You can now customize the default prefix of Test Cases generated by Crawler with a more meaningful description.
  • BOT-4131: Botium Accessibility - Visual Focus Indicator
    • To improve accessibility of the Botium Platform, the following improvements have been made to the Platform UI.
      • Visual Focus Indicator is now visible
      • All interactive elements on the platform are now reachable by keyboard-only users
      • Extra information that appears on mouse hover, is now accessible to keyboard users and screen readers
      • Improved the readabilty of various fonts used in tooltips

Botium 23.12 Issue Fixes

  • BOT-4109: Namespace Permissions: Filtering
    • Resolved a conflict with dashboard filters, where incorrect results would be shown if a user attempted to use a filter while part of a new namespace.
