Configuration

To setup a SMS Asserter in Botium, follow the steps below.

1. In Botium go to Global Settings and select Components

2. Filter by “SMS Inbox Asserter” and click on it to update the configuration

3. Scroll down to the field “Component Configuration (JSON-formatted)”

   

4. You can see here a predefined SMS Inbox called “DEFAULT”. You can add multiple SMS Inboxes if required. The Twilio Account SID and Twilio Auth Token you can find on your Twilio Dashboard

   

5. (Optional) You can also add a filter for SENDER and/or RECEIVER in your SMS Inbox configuration to only assert for an SMS that is sent / received by a certain number:

   

Usage

In the Test Case Editor you find the SMS Inbox Asserter in the Asserter list:

In “SMS Inbox Name” you type in the Inbox Name you defined in Global Settings -> Components -> SMS Inbox Asserter

Optionally you can assert for a text or a certain sender number of an SMS.
