Use Botium Crawler to Update a Test Set

Note: To complete this task you need to have a crawler configured previously. If you have not already done so, please do so now using the help article Create a Crawler Session.

  1. Navigate Using the Left Pane: On the left navigation pane, locate Botium Tools & Settings in the menu and select Test Data Wizard .
  2. Crawler Wizard: Select the Crawler Wizard from the list of options on the page.
  3. Botium Crawler Projects: Find and select the crawler you wish to use to update your test set. These are listed at the bottom of the page.
  4. Repeat Crawler Session: Click the REPEAT CRAWLER SESSION button on the right of the screen to begin crawling.
    Note: The crawler will now begin crawling through your bot. While the crawler is running, it will be indicated in the top left corner of the screen. Each Convo and utterance will appear underneath as they become available.

  5. Copy to Test Set: Once complete, click the COPY TEST SCRIPTS INTO TEST SET button to add your test scripts to an existing test set.
    1. Select Test Set: Use the dropdown menu to search for and select the existing test set you wish to add to.
    2. Set Action for Convos and Utterances Lists: Choose how you want to handle your lists after copying them.
      • Dump all convos and utterance list from test repository before copying:
      • Only copy new convos and utterance lists to test set repository:
      • Overwrite convos and utterance lists:
      • Backup convos and utterance lists in test set repository before copying:
    3. Copy Test Scripts: To finish you can choose to COPY TEST SCRIPTS or COPY TEST SCRIPTS AND OPEN TEST SET.
    Tip: Both of these options will save your test cases to your new test set but the latter will open the test set directly so you can continue to add more test cases.
