How to Translate a Test Set

Note: In order to translate a test set you must first Configure the Translation Services is the system settings. If you have not already done so, please do so now before you continue.

  1. Navigate Using the Left Pane: From the left menu, navigate to Botium Tools & Settings > Test Data Wizard > Test Set Translator.

  2. Choose Test Set: Search for and select the test set you would like to have translated.

  3. Select Test Set Language: (Optional) In most cases, the language can be detected automatically. However, to avoid any doubt, you can specify the language here.
  4. Select Target Language: Specify the language into which you would like your test set to be translated.
  5. New Test Set Name: (Optional) By default, the name of the chosen test set is amended by added the name of the language you are translating too. However, you can change this to any name you wish.
    Note: In the example here I have chosen Spanish as the translation language. As a result of the Test Set name has changed to "First Steps Chatbot - Test Set - Spanish"


  6. Start Translation: Click the TRANSLATE button to begin the translation process.
Results: After a few moments your will be taken to the Overview of your new test set in the Test Sets section. Scroll to the bottom of this page to find your new translations. You now have an additional dataset you can use for multi language testing.
